Day 11

Long day and crappy weather today.

Cereal for breakfast. I went to Dobia mall to run an errand and stopped at Hoa Hoa for lunch. I had the lunch special with beef and broccoli, garlic chicken, egg drop soup, and an egg roll. I totally forgot to pick up the couse packet I had ventured there for in the first place, though. No real dinner though. I didn't really get hungry in the evening.

Houston bound tomorrow!

Day Ten

I've been feeling much better today. I could breath and my appetite was back.

Blueberry Special K for breakfast. I really like these cereals.Leftover Mac and Cheese and Chicken for lunch. I just had a little of each mixed together since chicken doesn't re-heat well. Clearly, this is yet another meal taken at my desk.

I had a snack/early lunch at happy hour with Mary. We had a few different Brazilian appetizers including chips and salsa, fried yucca with cheese, and coxinhas. Since it was happy hour, I also had a few caipiroskas. Delicious.

I had a wonderful day, culinary speaking, at least. I'm going to be Houston bound this weekend, so I'm hoping for some photogenic food while home.

Day Nine: Appetite Strikes Back

I had three actual meals today! Hooray!

Two eggo waffles with honey for breakfast. I forgot that I ran out of syrup before the break, and hadn't replaced it yet. The honey was delightful though. Also, a cup of earl grey with sugar and milk.
I walked to Thai Noodle House for lunch and had Poor Boy Noodles in hopes of relieving my cold/allergy symptoms. Totally worked. Also delicious.

I went to Central Market and got a rotisserie chicken and made some mac and cheese and broccoli.

I'm begining to suspect that the whole not eating during the day is the cause of the feeling like hell in the evening. I'll work on that;

Day Eight

Cereal for Breakfast again. Tortilla soup with brown rice and jack cheese for lunch. I still have tons of it in the freezer from when I made it last week. It makes for a good quick meal.I ate lunch late in the day so I never really got hungry for dinner, between one thing and the other. I had some yogurt late in the evening, though.
I'm still feeling sort of sick so I'm thinking it's allergies. Either way, I don't really have energy to prepare meals that are remotely interesting. boo hiss.

Day Seven

No post for yesterday. I left the battery in my camera when I went out and couldn't take pictures.

Ben and I slept in this morning, and drove around for a while looking for somewhere to eat. We decided to go ahead and have lunch at Chuy's.
I had a Carne Guisada burrito. Ben had a taco salad which can be seen in the back along with the chips and salsa we had before our meal arrived. I only at about a third of my food at lunch, though.
I took my leftovers home and had that for dinner. It reheated really well and was pretty delicious.

Day Five

Hooray for Fridays!

Lazy morning, Instant Breakfast.

I lost track of time and forgot to eat lunch.

Ben came up from Houston for the weekend, with some of my mothers spaghetti sauce in tow. We had spaghetti with red wine for dinner, with cupcakes for dessert.

Day Four

A gradual return to normal eating.
Cereal for breakfast
Veggie bowl from Chipotle with black beans, rice, guacamole, salsa, and cheese.

I never really got around to eating dinner. Between one thing and another it sort of slipped my mind. Oh well. There is always tomorrow.

Day Three

I still wasn't feeling great today, so more boring foods, sadly.

Vanilla Almond Special K and a Cutie for breakfast.
Leftover Ribs and Potatoes wwith Queso from Hula Hut for Lunch.

Sore throat this evening means soft foods for dinner. Man and Cheese and some apple sauce.

When I'm feeling better, hopefully I'll be making and eating more visually appealing food.

Day Two: Revenge of the Head Cold

I wasn't feeling great today, so my food choices were heavily influenced by how little effort they involved.

Left over pizza for breakfast. Since the arugula on top was raw, I couldn't heat it up, but it was really good cold.

I was feeling spectacularly awful mid-day, so I had an Instant Breakfast for lunch.

For dinner, I made a pot of Tortilla soup with chicken, tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers. I had a bow with brown rice and jack cheese. It tasted much better than it looks, I assure you.

A few more of the Cuties also made it onto the menu today. I'm hoping the Vitamin C will help me kick the cold.

Apologies for the weird formatting. I have no clue whats going on with that.

Day One Continued

First Meal of the day. Breakfast with Mom at IHOP. I had hash-browns, ham, and eggs. I left the bacon, sausage, and most of the pancakes on the plate.

Afternoon snack. Rouge et Noir cheese with water crackers and a Cutie clementine.

Dinner with Mary at Mandola's. Pizza with Prosciutto, Panchetta, Parmesan, and arugula (I only ate half). I had some white wine to wash it all down.

Day One

For an indeterminate amount of time, I will be photographing everything I eat as a sort of food diary. First real entry is soon to come.
